This forecast relies on 35pc of the population receiving any of the three vaccines that now appear to be on the way. The Pfizer and Moderna jabs are expected to cover 15pc of the worlds citizens between them next year. The Oxford vaccine alone could cover 20pc, the analysts estimate, helping cover more than one-third of the globe.
Britain could benefit significantly, with 100m doses already on order.
