Data has revealed Nottingham has the highest number of weekly coronavirus cases in the country – but that the rapid increase in infections has slowed down.
The figures, for the seven days to October 15, are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Governments testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two).
The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.
Data for the most recent four days (October 16-19) has been excluded as it is incomplet…

A significant increase in the number of deaths at Burton and Derby hospitals has meant visitor restrictions have been reintroduced with immediate effect.
The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, which runs both hospitals, yesterday reported one patient had died overnight on Saturday.
