Godfall Cover Art Released Following PS5 Box Reveal – Push Square

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was the first PlayStation 5 game to show off its official box art, and now we have a second. Joining the Insomniac Games superhero adventure at the PS5’s launch will be Godfall from Gearbox Publishing. The looter slasher has just had its cover art unveiled, and here it is:
We think this actually suits the PS5 box design a little better thanks to the colours used. The blue box and white trim work well with the bright hues of the Godfall artwork. According to our polls, most people would prefer a black box to the blue plastic used, but that’s with the Spidey example — would a black case work as well here?
Anyway, there we go. Another PS5 cover art in the bank. What do you think? Are you excited for Godfall? Will you be buying it at launch alongside your console? Loot ’em up in the comments section below.

Amazon has delayed its upcoming open-world MMO New World, one of two tentpole games from its burgeoning games studio, from August 25th to an undefined spring 2021 date. The announcement comes less than two weeks after Amazon brought its other tentpole game, the free-to-play shooter Crucible, back into closed beta following barely a month of wide availability. It sounds like Amazon may be taking a more cautious approach to game development after early feedback from testers that the games werent quite what they hoped.
The New World team wants to add more features and content before we share it with a wider audience, including plenty of middle and endgame experiences, studio director Rich Lawrence said in a blog post that was also shared on Twitter. We want our players to feel completely immersed in the game, and know that our studio stands for quality and lasting gameplay you can trust and that means added time to get things where we want them before we fully release.
Though most of us will have to wait until next year to try New World, theres still an early access opportunity: if you signed up for the beta on or before July 9th, already preordered the game, or are a current alpha tester in good standing, youll be able to participate in a first-hand look at New World beginning on the games previously scheduled launch date, August 25th, according to an FAQ on the New World website.
If you get access to that first look, youll be able to play the game in its current state and for a limited period of time, according to Lawrence.
New Worlds delay (which is the games second) leaves Amazon Games with just one other title that might be releasing in the near term: Pac-Man Live Studio, a new version of Pac-Man that youll be able to play directly on Twitch, which is owned by Amazon. Bandai Namco and Amazon Games announced in May that the game would be available in June, but its still not out yet, and the games website now says that its coming soon.
And were also not sure when Crucible will be widely available again now that it has returned to closed beta. That game, which mixes pieces of mobile online battle arenas (MOBA) and hero shooters, originally launched in late May. But in early June, Amazon pulled two of the games three modes, leaving only its MOBA-inspired mode, and then returned the released game to closed beta on July 1st to make more improvements.
In June 2019, Amazon laid off dozens of developers from Amazon Games as part of a reorganization. And in 2018, it canceled fantasy sports game Breakaway, another tentpole title, which Amazon first announced in 2016 but took back to the drawing board in October 2017 before outright canceling it.

OpTic Gaming LA bench Dashy & Chino after signing two new CDL players – Dexerto

OpTic Gaming Los Angeles has announced the additions of Hollow and Drazah to their Call of Duty League roster, possibly replacing Chino and Dashy.

Following three consecutive losses, OpTic Gaming Los Angeles have once again tweaked their Call of Duty League lineup—this time by benching Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell and Martin ‘Chino’ Chino for new additions, Darien ‘Hollow’ Chverchko and Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan.
Many had speculated a lineup shift after Chino was, once again, relegated to a substitute role on July 6, but the Dashy news may come as a surprise. Long known as a prominent star in Call of Duty, he has recently underperformed on an OGLA lineup that failed to live up to its organization’s CoD pedigree. Hollow and Drazah, meanwhile, have each spent over three months playing for the CDL Challengers UYU organization, both performing admirably enough for OGLA to call upon their services.

When Chino was moved into the starting lineup on May 4, OGLA proceeded to go 5-3, but that success proved short-lived as the team subsequently dropped three straight. Evidently dissatisfied with the team’s form, General Manager Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders has pivoted and brought some fresh talent to the team’s roster—with Drazah and Hollow trialing with the team’s starting lineup instead of Chino and Dashy during scrims on July 8 before being officially announced as starters on July 10.

  • Darien ‘Hollow’ Chverchko
  • Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams
  • Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat
  • Thomas ‘TJHaly’ Haly
  • Martin ‘Chino’ Chino (sub)
  • Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell (sub)

After the Chicago Huntsmen’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner accidentally joined OGLA’s lobby while streaming, rumors seemed confirmed that Dashy would be joining Chino on the bench as two new players joined the team in lieu of their veteran starters.
A former CWL All-Star and tournament MVP, Dashy boasts a tremendous reputation and came into this season as an impressive recruit for OGLA. In Black Ops 4, he regularly posted league-leading K/D rates—but those numbers have deteriorated substantially in Modern Warfare while OGLA has dropped to eighth in the standings at 7-12.
At their latest event, the Paris Home Series, no player hit a positive K/D but Dashy posted the team’s lowest overall by far with 0.68 (Hardpoint: 0.57, SND: 0.58, Domination: 0.93). That may have been the last straw for a player whose upside is undisputed but whose work ethic had already been subject to unsavory rumors.
When discussing Drazah and Hollow’s acquisitions, Muddawg specified wanting the former because “he is an aggressive SMG and has been using the smoke a lot” and the latter because “he really brings a great wealth of knowledge.”
Moving Dashy and Chino to the bench allows this revamped starting group an opportunity to coalesce, while permitting OpTic to consider trading or releasing the two former starters should they not improve enough to reclaim their roles. At the moment, the two’s futures are uncertain and all eyes are on July 17, when OGLA faces the top-tier Florida Mutineers during London Home Series group play.
