A travel trade body has demanded an investigation into coronavirus test charges – with a summer holiday costing less than various checks for the virus in some cases.
A framework for the resumption of overseas leisure travel has been announced by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, which includes requiring all arrivals to take pre-departure and post-arrival coronavirus tests.
Post-arrival tests must be the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) type which cost about £120. This has caused a furious backlash…
