A boat has collided with the Kingsferry Bridge causing chaos on the rail network between Sheerness and Sittingbourne.
National Rail has advised that all lines remain blocked while work is carried out.
Unconfirmed reports have suggested the cause of the delay is due to the discovery of an unexploded bomb.
Southeastern have said that the bridge has now been opened and cleared for use but disruption will continue.
