Tesco has revealed that there had been a COVID-19 case at one of its major UK stores.
The supermarket giant said there had been a positive test result tracked to a Prescot Extra in Merseyside.
A company spokesperson told the Liverpool Echo: “The safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority.
“We have introduced extensive measures across all our stores to help keep everyone safe, including protective screens at every checkout, social distancing signage and regular deep cleaning.”
