Greater Manchester’s infection rate has dropped to its lowest since the end of September.
The latest Public Health England (PHE) data shows that the spread of infection across all 10 boroughs continues to fall.
The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.
The overall rate for Greater Manchester is 301.4 – the lowest since September 29.
In total, 2773 new coronavirus cases were added today – the smallest daily increase since October 2.

Gloucestershire recorded a double-figure rise in coronavirus cases for the first time this month.
A further 94 people were diagnosed with the virus in the 24 hours to November 23.
It is the first time throughout November, the county’s daily increase has dipped below 100.
The latest data shows infections are beginning to fall across the area, almost three weeks into the country’s second lockdown.
Experts said it should take 14 days for a change in behaviour to show in results.

There are 18 hyper local areas across Lancashire which have infection rates of 500 or higher.
This comes despite all Lancashire boroughs having overall infection rates of less than 500 new cases per 100,000 people for the first time in six weeks.
Blackburn with Darwen, which is currently the worst hit area in Lancashire, saw its rate drop to 470.3 on Friday (November 20) after a steady decline in recent weeks. At one point in the last fortnight, its rate stood at higher than 700.
