Child benefit payments are set to rise in April, offering millions of households a cash boost shortly after kids return to school.
The child benefit payment is rising to £21.15 a week for a family’s first child and a further £14 per child for families with multiple children, Mirror Online reports.
The monthly benefit is paid to families on a Monday or Tuesday. Child benefit is one of many welfare payments which will change on April 6, when the new financial year starts.
